Oops!
So, obviously, the pictures that downloaded were not what I had wanted (seeing as how the captions were wrong!) Here are the other pics...hopefully!

Zoo Trip
On Friday, we went to the zoo as a last-day-of-vacation thing. Gracie loves to see the animals! Since we have passes, it's easy to go. Normally we go to the Animal Park, but we were just there in December, so thought we would take the drive to San Diego for the afternoon. We saw lots of animals and Gracie had fun seeing all the bears. It was a nice, warm day for January and a nice end to vacation!

New Year, New Goal!
So, when I logged on today, I really thought it had just been a few months since I had posted anything here. Boy, was I wrong! Who would have thought that it was like 16 months ago! So, my new year's resolution is to actually post on here this year, more often than in the past!
A brief run-down of life so far...Gracie is 2 1/2 years old and full of energy. She is in preschool 2 days a week and growing like a weed! She is such a fun baby - or little girl. She loves to play with her dogs, play with her toys and make a HUGE mess of the house.
I am at a new school again this year, since the district closed the school I was at. Lucky me. I am lucky and was able to get a first grade class. I am enjoying being on vacation and not looking forward to having to go back to work.
My hubby is in his 3rd year of law school. Hopefully in a year and half he will pass the bar and be able to start working by this time Dec. 2010! Here's hoping!
Once my computer is working well, I will post pics. Until then...

New School...Yea!
I am back to my "home" school again! I officially start tomorrow with my class of 16 Kindergarteners and 4 first graders. It is going to be a challenge to plan for all the kids, but I think it will be fun. I spent the whole day today setting the classroom up and trying to figure out what I am going to do. It'll take me a week to get organized, but I'll get it done. The biggest issue is getting lunch - some of the kids will be with another teacher for me to eat. I guess it's a good diet plan, but passing out at 2:00 doesn't seem too good! Now I just have to make it to Christmas and then I can relax!

Teething troubles!
So my baby is teething. Not just a little teething, big, huge MONSTER teething! I think each morning lately she has another tooth that has come in. I feel so bad for her. She cried all day Saturday and was so cranky. But, we went from 11 teeth last week to 15 today...amazing. And, she actually has gotten some sleep during all of this. Hopefully the teething is almost done and she can stop bing in pain!
Changes are coming...hopefully!
So, I hate my new school, don't like the teachers, don't like my kids, not happy going to work at all! If I could, I would call in sick everyday and let the sub deal with my little deamon children! But, I can't really do that, so I have to go and teach them something each day. BUT, there appears to be an opening back at Hayman coming soon. They are going to be opening a K-1 combo (scary and a lot of work) soon, and since I was moved against my will, I am supposed to have first dibs at the opening. If I do, I will have 2 days to pack up, move out, move in and unpack and be ready to teach! Not a lot of time to get things ready, but I will make it work. My family and friends have said they will help, so that makes me feel good. I want out as soon as I can. In the meantime, I am trying to have a positive attitude and do my job as best I can with my class. But, deep down, I am ready to throw in the towel and move on! Not the best attitude, I know, but it's all I can muster at this point! I need a vacation!

Exhaustion
Well, school is back in and I am exhausted. Between trying to wrangle 20 first graders, deal with their whack-job parents and trying to actually teach, I can barely stay up past dark (which is getting earlier every day!). I always forget how tiring the beginning of the year is. Oh well, luckily it only comes around once a year and lasts for a month or so, probably longer this year! With it being so hot last week, the kids weren't able to go outside (they might melt, ya know) and were climbing the walls. They still have it this week! I guess the mean teacher has to come out! Yippee!
